Willing to successfully complete an 8 hour training course offered by the facility; Ability to organize, plan and supervise care of a group of residents assuring quality is provided at all time for this group as well as others in the facility; maintain effective interpersonal relationships; willingness to provide emergency care as needed for any resident in the facility.

Days and Hours: All shifts; 6a-2p, 2p-10p, 10p-6a
Special Pay Opportunities: During the Covid-19, time and a half will be paid for each hour worked
Job Description, Requirements, and Duties
This is a time sensitive opportunity for people with a passion for health care to take a fast-track path to becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant. The Centers for Medicare and Medicare Services has implemented a waiver to allow applicants to complete an 8 hour training course permitting the applicant to work as a CNA.
The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for the care of the residents in a designated area of the facility. The CNA is knowledgeable of the information as outlined on the Interdisciplinary Care Plan and follows the Plan. The CNA provides information to keep the care plan current with the resident’s needs, provides restorative care for each resident in the assigned group, keeping the resident well-groomed and clean, and assists to meet the psycho-social needs of the residents. The CNA assists to maintain a home like atmosphere for the resident, by keeping the resident care areas clean and in good working order. The CNA communicates residents’ needs with the Licensed Staff and other department heads, reports all relevant observations to the Licensed Staff assigned to the unit in a timely manner, documents information timely and daily on the Nursing Flow Record and other records as indicated, and attends in-services and staff meetings as required.
The CNA works by general, consistent, group assignments as the basis of the activity for the shift, but must be able to accept changes and adapt to added assignments as need arises. CNAs must work together and follow safe practices when carrying out their responsibilities and job duties.
