A team care approach. Our team of health care professionals is led by a licensed administrator and includes our medical director, consultant pharmacist and registered dietitian.
In fact, our medical director Elizabeth Bonfanti Curtis, MD is available in-house to see residents five days a week. Her involvement allows us to address resident needs in a timely manner. “As a family physician I am trained to look at the whole patient,” said Dr. Curtis. “In the skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment I am able to work in a setting where I can do what I was trained to do. I see patients in their home environment. In addition, I am able to talk to family members to get a better overall picture of the patient. I feel so fortunate to have the kind of practice where I can have an on-going and continuous impact on the residents and families who have turned to Old Jefferson Community Care Center for care.”
